Haemostem™ Dental Cubes containing carboxycellulose. Easy insertion into tooth sockets to control protracted postextractional capillary bleeding. Each cube contains 135mg of micronised modified carboxycellulose with 25mg methycellulose and 40mg modified starch which acts as gelling and disintegrant agents. Haemostem™ offers highly effective antimicrobial effects which may aid the healing process. Used in the control of bleeding, as capillary haemorrhaging and serum exudation from damaged tissue wherever conventional methods of local haemostasis is difficult or impractical. Also, to control protracted post-extraction capillary bleeding. PRESENTATION: Sterile strip of five cubes. DIRECTIONS: Blot and dry as much of the gum area as possible with a gauze swab. Place the Haemostem™ Dental Cube directly on or into the tooth socket. Since the cube is readily absorbed by the body between 8 to 14 days it can be sutured in place as there is no need for it to be removed. Haemostem™ should not be dowsed with sterile water prior to insertion or application.
