The HOHMANN bone lever (available in many versions) also serves to get a better overview of the knee joint. The caudal horns of the menisci are often difficult to see otherwise. The lever is guided through the intercondylar gap of the femur and hooked over the caudal edge of the tibia. The tibia can be pushed forward by the resulting lever arm, so that the menisci come more within the field of vision. In addition, this lever is also very useful for manipulating a broken femoral head, for example. The HOHMANN is unsurpassed - a second one is therefore a good investment!
